How I Price My Original Acrylic Paintings.

I am always encouraged to receive interest in my work regardless of whether or not it leads to a sale, so please reach out for any reason!

I would love to hear how the artwork is resonating with you! I'm always blown away when I hear the unique interpretations of others, in fact this is one of my favorite parts about creating the art!

Pricing Overview:

  • My original work ranges from $55-$7,000+ Depending on its size & the year it was created.

  • Whenever selling I focus on generosity & mutual benefit for everyone involved!

  • I am more than happy to sell work with a payment plan if needed. Any combination of down-payment & time span can be arranged.

What I think about when making sales:

It is my promise to you that I will never be affected personally with any negotiations. I understand money has nothing to do with my worth or the true value of my art, it's just the way we trade value in our culture.

My main thing is making sure the pieces find loving homes so that they are fulfilling their purpose for being created, as well as having accurate support for my lifestyle & art practice so that I can keep creating without any limitation!

I’ll make sure I only sell if I feel compensated, being super honest with you at all times, so you never need to worry about underpaying me, I will definitely let you know! I’ve got bills just like everyone else, so I keep in mind what I need.

Accurate compensation for the value that I give is obviously an important factor for me, but I am recognizing the true value of the work is to make an impact in other’s lives! Therefore my main focus is to generously share myself and my unique gifts through this work! Part of my compensation is getting to see the artwork become a catalyst of hidden revelations & treasures of inner wisdom! What could be more fulfilling?!

Viewers are able to connect with the work in a way that helps them refocus on what truly matters to them and give them clues into a deeper sense of Self. The paintings become reminders of their current growth and all these things overflow into every area of their life! I know that this is the gift that I have to give & that’s what I show up for, to make a difference in the life of another individual, money will never be able to replace that.

I want to invest in you in lots of ways & not just with the original art. I'm looking to create lasting, impactful relationships with others, not hiding away, but rather making myself available to those collecting my work.

This is a beautiful opportunity for mutual growth! I love having conversations around art and it amazes me to see how the concepts in the work bring us together! I know there is no such thing as “one step behind” or “one step ahead” we are all learning from one another, others have integrated wisdom that I haven’t and vis versa. Therefore, connecting over the art allows us to explore wisdom beyond what we would have seen all on our own & there’s little more fulfilling than that!

…so again, please get in touch!

My personal pricing story:

My original pricing roots were basically, “What do you wanna pay?” and I’d see how I felt about it.

I’d strayed away from this for a while, mostly due to business advice I was soaking up through all different outside sources and not my own intuition. I am constantly hearing, “Know your worth!” “Don’t undersell yourself!” “Look at what your peers are pricing their work at”...etc. So I followed their advice for a while, but I eventually noticed I’m better off to make up my own way of doing things! Because after all, how can I put a price on the true value of the artwork, let alone my own worth?!

I now realize I misunderstood the advice and it’s not about knowing the monetary value but about knowing and embodying its true value! <— Click the link to learn more.

That’s not to say I don’t still sell pieces for thousands of dollars, after all this is my profession! However, it is to say that I approach selling a lot differently than I once did!

Originally I started raising my prices because of supply and demand just as any artist would. In 2016-2017 they were selling right off the easel! But unfortunately this made me very sad because I just simply didn’t want to sell them. I was way too attached to them! I had just started painting my whimsical work with intention, worship, and finally realized that even my cartoons are indeed “real art”.

These were the first pieces that really felt like “Me” and it was my first time experiencing such personal artwork! They felt like a deep piece of my inner self that I wasn’t ready to let go of.

I deiced to price my pieces at what I thought was “out of the price range” of my buyers, but they just kept selling and I became frustrated that I didn’t even have a body of work to show around town for exposure.

I started to become even more attached and this led to me sabotaging the selling of my work, which then led to insecurity and a scarcity mindset. The scarcity mindset sent me into a time of scraping by that was absolutely miserable and stressful, but I learned too much from it to regret how things have played out and the lessons will stick with me the rest of my career!

While I will always be connected to each piece I create in some way, I also realize that they have a role to play in other people's lives and that this is the gift that I have to share and it’s such a unique and wonderful way to connect with others!

Nowadays, even if I do get compensated with money I always have to dig into my generosity to make a sale. Money just comes and goes so fast, it’s crazy to think I may never see the piece again after it sells. Either way, generous or not, it’s just not practical for me to keep them all! I make way too many paintings to keep!

More so, I’m realize the joy in the process of creating the work in the first place. Now creating it is “where it’s at” & I’m not so attached to the finished product.

Where once I lived from a scarcity mindset, I now find joy in the greater good that comes with giving & receiving! I know you will not buy these paintings because they are just pretty images or because of my own emotions, rather because you get something deeper from them, a little tug of emotion or a burst of wisdom gushing up from within!

I am over the moon excited to be the creator of things that have such powerful & positive impact on others! It makes me so happy to know that lots and lots of people are able to receive that value whether or not they buy the piece.
