Wisdom for Dealing with a Scarcity Mindset

The Wisdom Willow

Painting Description

As always you are free to interpret this piece however you choose or are led to understand it.

These are simply my own thoughts which I feel inspired to share.

My own interpretations change as I revisit with pieces as time goes on, but these are my initial thoughts at the time of creation.

I know The Wise One has much to teach us through The Wisdom Willow painting because I saw the picture in a dream. I just so happened to already have a long skinny canvas on hand, so I began the piece while still in the middle of another piece because I was too excited to wait!

As I painted, I pondered and in the mornings I dove into The Word looking for descriptive verses on this piece. I knew from the start the willow was Lady Wisdom, but Who is wisdom?

The face in the tree is the face of wisdom and the face of The Creator; feminine as some of God’s attributes are. If you look carefully you can see The Hands of Source holding us.. God’s hands are often hard to see in our lives, but when we look carefully we can see his hands supporting our own hands as we hold life giving water for those thirsty around us.

“Jesus said to her, ‘Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” ~John 4:13-14

But Who is wisdom really? Here’s an even better description in Colossians 2:2-3:

“That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

Wisdom is woven into many aspects of The Creator, “his” mystery within “his” Son, within us, “his” children. This Love knits us together, The Love, The One, like branches and vines woven into a nest. Our roots digging into the soil of this Love so that we are always nourished.

There is always enough, enough visions, enough provisions, enough money, enough beauty, enough water, enough love, enough growth, enough time, enough sunshine, and enough of me & you to give of ourselves endlessly to those around us!
