The Greater Hand of Love Original Painting

At first glance we see a hand, it stands fully recognizable as The Hand of the Heavens. Usually a comforting and guiding hand doesn’t stand out with such contrast, oftentimes it is hidden, camouflaged into life and hard to notice. With hindsight we see there has always been an orchestrator of events. Some experiences are beyond my control and I seek to gratefully surrender, although sometimes it takes time. Once the lesson is learned and I see where it has led me it’s easier to release control the next time things are beyond my grasp. 

Other events have been of my own making, a sort of artistic collaboration with The Greater Hand of Love, my own hand merely a tool as it is given up in offering. With such an offering there is allowing of The Flow to move through it with power into everything my life touches. For true power to change circumstances comes when we allow it to be expressed through us according to our deepest, most pure desires. That is, Divinely inspired desires. It is as if our hands at work or in service are held and guided by The Hand of Creation. Knowing there is so much more power moving through us than we could ever comprehend. 

Of course, if the hand of comfort is showing up, then there has probably been a need for it, perhaps something to be healed or released, maybe we have been calling for it, “Help me, please, somehow may I be drawn up from this pit of self-pity and shame.” Many times I prayed similar words, aching for God to reach out and touch my life. Yet it seemed as though I was never answered, that is until hindsight came into the picture. But in the moment it took a lot of courage and blind faith to feel the touch of salvation lighting up my face. That is because looking up into The Unexplainable takes practice, it’s just like building a relationship and doesn’t happen all at once. Very rarely will it arise from an external source, only when we are first able to find strength within despite any evidence, will we be able to recognize the support all around us externally.

Looking into the window of our bodies, beyond even our DNA, deep within the heart we find this ability to realize our own power. It begins with curiosity and as it is deepened it cultivates trust. Trust in oneself is the ability to make decisions and follow our intuition, knowing we are being guided from within. We do not have a need to look outside of ourselves for the next steps or directions for where to go now. If we do so, we will often be misled by others' intentions which may not be in alignment with our own or with the Divine who is guiding us in The Best Way. If we squash out our intuition’s hunches it is as if we are squashing out the voice of God. 

There is no other place to find a relationship with The All-in-All than within. Only on the inside. In fact, there is no other place to find anything, all that is external was first planted as some sort of cosmic seed within us. Even those circumstances we have no control over are connected to our heart strings in some way, otherwise they would not be within our awareness, nor would they affect us in any way. 

The more we notice our own hands' role in each event, the more obvious it becomes that not only do we have the ability to touch the course of our life, but that whether we realize it or not we are the cause of the things going on around us. This is challenging to grasp because it puts a lot of responsibility on our shoulders, perhaps unwanted responsibility. But if we take initiative for our life and full responsibility for our circumstances and actions then we also hold all the power to change them. It is only when we give our power away to unwanted situations that those situations are out of our control. 

It is important to understand the difference between forced control and surrendered control. Forced control will leave you feeling powerless and confused. Pain comes when we think we have control over things that we do not, such as others’ opinions of us, loss of possessions, positions, and loved ones; not to mention the weather. Surrendered control is when we accept a situation and decide whether we want to entertain it within our consciousness, more so, deciding how we will interpret the situation from an empowered standpoint.

Someone who is going through a very difficult time may be quick to disagree. But let me remind you that I have gone through my own share of challenges, yet have come out stronger on the other side having adopted this knowledge. The knowledge that I choose what I give power to, and that I choose what I back with belief.

Although we may not have consciously wished anything upon ourselves, we have in some way welcomed it through either a desire to learn from it, or through expressing emotions that are connected to its manifestation into our awareness, either fear based emotions or elation. 

We may not always see the connection at first, but if we are willing to be shown, it will be revealed to us exactly how the current situation, though seemingly unrelated, is actually fully connected to a dominating belief we hold within our subconscious mind. These beliefs may be rooted in fear, a very strong emotion that will manifest a situation in order to give you a pathway of overcoming that specific fear. Beliefs are the fuel of experiences. Whether positive or negative, life will always play out in accordance with what we believe is happening, has happened, or will happen. 

It is even easier to see that all things begin within when it comes to our desires that have already been fulfilled. No one could deny their desires once began as simply an idea or dream held within the heart. The heart IS the center-place of connection! It is The Beginning. 

To touch the heart of another is nothing short of Pure Divine Power! The connection is strong, others feel a Godly Touch though me and vice versa, together we hold the power and intensity of Consciousness between us. The more connected you are, the more love will naturally flow from you to others. Becoming one with another through intimate relationship is a picture of Oneness with the Divine, it is the holding space for meaningful and satisfying Divine movement. Therefore what you do for your spiritual relationship will also affect your physical relationships. 

People are divine interaction, as well as is everything else, this can be especially seen in nature. The Divine Touch is within all things, even within the most physical of experiences. With one another we weave the supernatural into our make up! 

We need not look further than sexuality to see the obvious connections between the physical body and spiritual experiences. Although sexuality is only a small piece of our sense of touch, it is a most profound analogy of Unity! 

Mention of sex has often been left out of spiritual conversations due to perversion and twisted actions that have caused pain and disagreements that have left people scarred, closed off, and shut down. Whether positive or negative, sexual expierneces always leave such deep lasting impacts, one is never the same again. Pain has a way of tricking us into leaving it alone in the dark, when really what it needs is to be illuminated by light. When we bring awareness to pain, only then will we give it the space to be processed and worked out; transmuted into healing. Regardless of how we bring awareness to our own personal sexuality it is important to do so and to find how it fits into our spiritual character so that we are whole and well rounded in our consciousness. 

I can only speak from my own experiences and this is one of those topics that goes beyond words for me. I do not currently have the desire to go very in depth with my experiences as I hold them very private. It is mainly important that this area of our life is not left in the dark to us, we may still benefit from private boundaries. Many times when I have heard spiritual teachers or leaders speaking on the subject it has not resonated with me personally, so it is important to look within to find answers. Afterall, looking within is truly what this painting is all about. 

I will say that sexuality is an area of my life that I hold very sacred. I adopted this philosophy from a very young age and it has served me well. The more I look for the sacredness of my intimate relationship with my husband, the more I see it. The more honor and respect I bring to my sexual nature, then more I am rewarded with satisfying experiences and honored in return.

When we look at sexuality in its purest form we find it is a beautiful mirror of the depth and vulnerability a relationship can encompass; yes, all that a moment could hold! This mirror is reflecting a relationship that is beyond human interaction alone, rather a relationship between the human and The Spirit. More specifically the relationship we have within ourselves and to that God piece of us, that Divine DNA which can be found within all. 

This is the deeper side of sexuality, it is a way to find oneself and to truly know another, it is a picture of intimacy with The Source. This type of spiritual relationship can be deepened forever and the knowledge of The Infinite can be explored for countless lifetimes!

This unity is the core of what this image expresses to me personally, perhaps it is similar for you. It is a sacred relationship, just as intimate relationships hold a special kind of sacred romance, the relationship with you and The Divine takes on its own unique and magical shape.

Between The Eye and The I Am there is a Unity; between myself and The Self there is a deep cultivated bond; between the human and The Spirit there is absolute and complete Oneness.  

The window is unlocked, the veil lifted, look within, you have the right and the ability. The windowsill is only the beginning, it is only the first fabric of visible substance, beneath it lies so much more! This in your window, no one can enter it for you, you hold the keys and it is safe here. You decide how deep you want to journey. And may we never take for granted the keys to another's heart. 

Weaving together the many sides of ourselves, embracing our masculine and feminine qualities, cultivating our inherent gifts despite the duality of our nature. As we embrace others we identify with them. Just as we like to touch things that we admire, touch is a way of connecting even with inanimate objects, as we reach out we are internally saying, “This is me”. Likewise, when we are touched by others it is as if a piece of them is left behind, becoming a part of us as we receive it.

Human interaction is Divine interaction, unity with others shows us how to connect back to ourselves. Finding who we are, The I Am of Being, this is when the whole universe awakens to us! To the depth that you have journeyed within, is to the depth you will allow loved ones to enter, for how could they go where you yourself have not first gone? Therefore, you serve and love others by loving yourself. You contribute to the overall wellbeing of humanity when you take the time to find your Divine connection within. To seek your True Self.

Cultivating the connection becomes the one thing worth pursuing; upon the foundation of this structure all secondary desires will be built, however fleeting they may be. Look within to find your own Divine being, then look without to see such a connection externalized within everything and everyone you come in contact with!
