Floating Faster, a poem

But these words are floating faster

When they are not mingled with complaints

& fears

& worries

But those will never go away completely

They will always find a way in

To this place

Always trying to escape

This little cage & boundary I've made for them

To keep them under control

Out of trouble

Out of control

But there is no controlling them

& I find the cage is nothing

Nothing more than an elusive thought pattern

Some trap growing stronger

Others being weakened

As I indulge the worries

As they escape their cage

Trying to envelop

Or suck into

Or overwhelm

This area not its own

Not its place

Somehow getting in

Or over

Or under

Or through

But never around

This very last turn might be the perfect place

For a prayer
