The concept of this piece was inspired without an image or meaning, I was painting another mandala when I thought how wonderful it would be to have a mandala landscape! During the time of painting it I was given mostly silence and little interpretations. The silence itself is wisdom enough.
Mostly I think of spinning, of a compass, of quilts, of direction, and kaleidoscope perspective. Add all of these up and you have a mixture of thoughts coming in and out that require little analyzing. And maybe that’s what it's about, gathering up the beauty around you and taking it in as it is, without any overthinking of the mind. Apply this to any circumstance in life and we find we are always being guided in the best direction, regardless of how much worrying or control we try to hold on to. Let go, let the rhythm and flow of the mountains, trees and rivers be enough for now.
